Some talented artists are taking over Downtown Troutdale.
The annual Cascadia Fine Arts Festival returns this weekend for a showcase of artists and their work. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 17, along the Historic Columbia River Highway in Troutdale.
There will be booths with artwork for sale; a spirit animal mask workshop and live raku firing demonstration; food and drinks for purchase from the Downtown Troutdale businesses; and a musical headliner — The Groovzalot Blues Band will take the stage at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mayor’s Square. The festival will also have a silent auction
The artists work across multiple mediums, including 2D and 3D mixed media; writing; ceramics; digital art; drawing; fibers; glass and jewelry; leather and metalwork; painting and watercolor; printmaking and photography; sculptures; and woodworking.
A great option for enjoying the Fine Arts Festival is to park at the Columbia Gorge Outlets, 450 N.W. 257th Way, and then ride a free shuttle, courtesy Sasquatch Adventures, to Downtown. That service is American’s with Disabilities Act accessible. There will be limited public parking in Downtown and at the Troutdale Art Center.
