Newbiggin Arts Centre’s first-ever Open Exhibition is underway and it will take place at its Front Street studios until May 29.
It is showcasing a diverse range of work from artists across the region, marking an exciting step for the centre as it opens its walls to a wider creative community for the first time.
Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 3pm, with additional evening openings on Wednesday and Thursday from 7pm to 9pm, the exhibition is being held within the centre’s working studio environment.
A variety of art classes continue throughout the day and visitors are encouraged not only to view the exhibition, but also to experience the creative activity as it happens – or even take part, space permitting.

Newbiggin Arts Centre also supports older and vulnerable residents, particularly those experiencing loneliness or living with long-term health conditions.
Its year-round programme of classes, workshops and social groups uses creativity to build confidence, connection and well-being.
