Music-distribution firm Amuse has announced its latest milestone. In fact, a pair of them. The company has paid out more than 50k automated royalty advances to independent artists, totalling more than $10m.
This is all from its ‘Fast Forward’ feature which launched in beta early in 2019 as a way to pay artists up to six months of royalties in advance.
The milestones came with some news on the feature’s expansion, too. Amuse has just added YouTube royalties into its calculations of Fast Forward advances.
It has been a busy month for the company, with Amuse having appointed a new CEO earlier in November. Giorgio D’Ambrosio was an early investor in Amuse and joined its board in 2020. He became interim CEO in May 2024, but has now been appointed permanently.
