Sep. 9—The River Clay Fine Arts Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary this fall, bringing artists, collectors and families together for a weekend on the City Hall lawn in downtown Decatur.
The festival takes place Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, with free entry for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased on site, and dogs are welcome.
Decatur Morgan County Tourism said this year’s event will feature more than 65 juried artists showcasing a wide range of fine art. Guests can also enjoy demonstrations, including work by Athens Forge, as well as food trucks, live music and hands-on activities.
Organizers said the festival, presented by Plastic Recyclers Southeast Inc., is expected to attract 400 to 500 out-of-town visitors in addition to local attendees.
“We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of River Clay, bringing together artists and art lovers in the heart of Decatur,” Jennifer Bunnell of the Alabama Center for the Arts said in a statement. “It’s more than a festival — it’s a community tradition that supports and celebrates the arts.”
