Market Street Art and Antiques in Broughton-in-Furness welcomed its first customers on Saturday October 26.
The shop offers art and antiques, collectables, books, and jewellery, as well as local arts and crafts.
Before the opening, Janette Pointer, who runs the arts and antiques venture said: “The shop idea came from my husband’s love of art and antiques. It’s been his hobby for around 30 years.
“We have lots of local support, which is very important to us, and are excited to be opening on Saturday.
“As we have six rooms to fill, we have dedicated one room to local arts and crafts. In the near future, we will be dedicating an area for a charity stall in aid of the Duddon Mountain Rescue.”
