A new exhibition inspired partly by the mystic visions of artists like Marc Chagall has been launched at one of Harrogate’s leading independent art galleries.
No Other Land: Hidden Treasures, which will run at 108 Fine Art at 16 Cold Bath Road until June 6, features recent work by the emerging contemporary painter Morgan van’t Hoff.
Hoff graduated from Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) in the UK in 2023.
Inspired by the mystic visions of artists like Marc Chagall and Ken Kiff, Morgan’s work delves into the realms of dreams and innocence.

The childlike mark-making in his art aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and connect with the inner child.
Since it was co-established by Gillian Stewart with her partner, the late Andrew Stewart, in 1997, 108 Fine Art has develop long-running partnerships with artists working in all areas of the visual arts, in particular, talented female artists.
Following his first exhibition – Time Within Time – with the gallery in 2023 as part of The Andrew Stewart Award, this latest Morgan van’t Hoff exhibition marks his second solo presentation with 108 Fine Art.
In No Other Land: Hidden Treasures, Morgan van’t Hoff continues his exploration of memory, imagination and materiality through richly textured compositions that invite reflection and interpretation.
Incorporating a combination of found objects, often wood, and embracing elements of archaeology, the artist builds up and scratches off layers, revealing ‘hidden treasures’.
All works will be available for purchase.
