Gene Hackman’s movie scripts, Golden Globe trophies, and art items from his personal collection will be auctioned off.

The first auction, focused on art pieces he collected throughout his life, is set for Nov. 19 in New York, announced Bonhams Auctions on Thursday. The sale will take place just several months after the two-time Oscar-winning actor died at age 95 in February.

“These are prestigious works with impeccable provenance, further enriched by their association with one of the greatest actors of our time,” said Andrew Huber, Head of 20th and 21st Century Art at Bonhams. “Hackman was not only a collector but an artist himself, and his approach to collecting mirrors the care, aesthetic sensibility, and discipline evident in his own artistic practice. This is a collection shaped with extraordinary thoughtfulness and passion.”

Along with the in-person auction, Bonhams will hold two online sales between Nov. 8 and Nov. 21, and Nov. 25 and Dec. 4, featuring the actor’s personal artworks, annotated books, scripts, posters, and memorabilia from his lengthy career. Fans will also be able to bid on three of his Golden Globes: one for 1993’s Unforgiven, 2002’s Royal Tenenbaums, and his Lifetime Achievement Award, which he received in 2003.

“The Gene Hackman Collection offers a rare window into the artistic mind of a profoundly disciplined and instinctive artist,” Bonhams wrote in their announcement on Instagram.

Hackman and his wife of 34 years, Betsy Arakawa, and their dog were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in February. At the time, their deaths were deemed “suspicious,” but an autopsy report later revealed that he died from heart disease (with “advanced Alzheimer’s disease” also a contributing factor), while Arakawa died from a rare respiratory illness caused by hantavirus.
