
The biennial outdoor arts festival will be held at Corfe Castle on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21.
Lighthouse Poole’s chief executive, Elspeth McBain, said: “Lighthouse is delighted to be supporting high quality international work being presented in our region.”
The festival will feature European circus performers, free for the public to enjoy.
Activate director, Kate Wood, said: “We are so pleased that long-standing partner Lighthouse Poole is supporting the Catalan artists we are presenting in Corfe Castle.”
Corfe Castle hosts free European circus and interactive art this September (Image: Pete Millson) Among the performances is a promenade piece, ‘We Fear’, working with Rohan Gotobed from Dorsetborn, addressing global events and fear of change.
Cie D’es Tro’s ‘Poi’ will showcase world champion spinning top juggler Guillem Vizcaíno.
Other highlights include ‘Arrels’ by Toc de Fusta, an interactive installation with 16 games, and ‘Idiòfona’ by Joan Català, where spectators can create a sound installation.
The event will also feature the ‘Consequences giant’, a large art installation on the castle motte.
This is part of the National Landscape Association’s ‘Nature Calling’ project.
Inside Out Dorset will also have performances at Moors Valley, Christchurch, Yeovil and Weymouth.
