
WINNING bids topped £330,000 at St Richard’s Hospice auctioned off 41 penguin statues from its popular city-wide trail.
The Waddle of Worcester penguins that went under the hammer included 40 large and one baby penguin.
Experienced auctioneer and star of TV shows Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip, Philip Serrell, led the auction on behalf of the hospice at the DRPG building in Hartlebury.
‘Waddle I Do Without You’ went for the highest value at £21,000 while four other sculptures broke the £10,000 mark on the night.
