This September, The Nutshell gallery in Kings Walk, Winchester, will host 4 Walls, 5 Ways, a collaborative showcase running from September 20-26.

The exhibition features the work of artists Carolyne Viney, Daniel Clayton, Nick Clark, Noel Perkins, and Rob Truscott, each presenting a different approach to art through paintings, sculptures, collage, and jewellery.

Daniel Clayton, a Winchester-based artist, said: “This will be a five-man exhibition including myself. We have artists from Winchester and Southampton. With this exhibition, we want to show our work to the public.

“Engaging with people is part of the work and we want to show the different art that we all do and ways we express ourselves.”

Visitors will have the chance to meet the artists daily and learn more about their creative processes and inspirations.

Mr Clayton, 43, said: “I am a Winchester-based artist working at Matley’s Yard Studios.

“I studied fine art at Winchester School of Art and have been painting ever since. I paint large abstract and I work with mixed media collage. I love being in my studio creating new work.”

The exhibition will be open to the public with free entry and aims to encourage conversation and connection through art.

The gallery will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 12pm to 6pm on Monday and Wednesday.

4 Walls, 5 Ways is described as a celebration of creativity, offering visitors the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artworks and meet the artists behind them.
