Canberra is home to an abundance of art galleries that are overflowing with inspiration.
Here are five new independent galleries, that are representing the works of local artists, displaying their creative flair, and waiting for you to go and immerse yourself in them.
PT Gallery (City)

Civic Art Bureau (City)
Located upstairs from Smiths Alternative in the Melbourne Building, a newly founded commercial art gallery awaits your presence.
Showcasing local artists and their works, from paintings to sculptures, and providing works available for purchase, the Civic Art Bureau is the city’s new connected hub for creatives.

Q Gallery (Ainslie)
Created as a hub for creatives and wellness enthusiasts alike, the Q Gallery is your one-stop shop to see the works of local artists.
Open from Wednesday to Saturday, this environment fosters and nurtures creativity and connection for everyone from young aspiring artists to professionals. Offering holiday programs and workshops for kids, and exhibitions for you to immerse in, there is something for everyone.

Grainger Gallery (Fyshwick)
You may have heard of the Grainger Gallery on Dairy Road in Fyshwick, but did you know that they have recently expanded their space?
Open on Geelong Street, Kacy and Richard have converted a two-story warehouse into a blank canvas for you to hire. Reflecting industrial charm and refined elegance, this is the perfect space for artists to hold events and exhibitions, along with community groups, art and design markets, photography shorts and workshops. With the space able to hold up to 200 people, and the high roofs providing spectacular acoustics, it’s not only great for artists, but for music, dance and performing art groups.

Sitting just outside Canberra, amongst the beauty of Lake George, is the Canberra Art Gallery. Immersed within Murphy Art, this gallery focuses on bringing artisans together for unique projects and highlights a connection between artists and commercial developments.
