The annual Spring Market at New Dawn Arts Center in Ashburnham is set for Saturday, April 12. According to a community announcement, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 84 Main St. Over 25 local makers and vendors will showcase unique gifts for Easter and Mother’s Day.

In addition to the market, New Dawn invites community members to participate in the Spring 2025 Artists and Activists Cohort: Organizing Resilient Communities. This program aims to foster connections among artists, activists and volunteers. It includes six sessions from March 31 to May 5, focusing on building resilience in the community. Attendees who participate in most sessions will graduate as Ashburnham Stewards.

Regularly scheduled group meetings will continue throughout the month. The New Dawn Writers’ group meets every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Yoga classes, led by certified instructor Paula Brisbois, occur every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for $10 per class. The Improv Theater Group gathers at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays. Additionally, the monthly painting class, Brunch and Brushes, takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month for $48 per person, including materials and light refreshments.

The Grassroots and Upper galleries are open to the public, featuring new artists each month. Gallery hours are noon to 2 p.m. on Sundays, noon to 6 p.m. on Mondays, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. This month, artist Jessica Robey will showcase her work in the exhibit “A Place Called Home: the Ebenezer Keyes Conservation Project.”
