Prints of world-famous artworks from the National Gallery are set to arrive in Croydon next month.

The National Gallery has announced Art On Your Doorstep, a three-year national initiative that will bring free, outdoor exhibitions of famous artworks to communities across the country, with Croydon on the list.

Running from June 2025 to March 2026, the first phase of the project will visit four locations including Croydon.

Croydon is set to host the trail from February 3 until July 5, with the streets decorated with 30 life-sized printed reproductions of masterpieces from the National Gallery’s collection.

Among the line-up will be famous paintings from Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and Pierre Renoir.

The artworks will be displayed outdoors, free to view, and reproduced in full detail and in their original frames, at locations including The Queen’s Gardens, Park Hill and Thornton Heath.

The exhibition takes the form of a specially created art trail running through the town centre, highlighting key heritage spaces and landmarks while encouraging people to explore the area in a new way.
