The Okotoks Art Gallery is officially kicking off the holiday season with the return of its annual Gingerbread Station, now open and featuring elaborate edible creations.
The display runs from November 21 to December 12, transforming the gallery into a festive showcase of gingerbread houses, sculptures and imaginative holiday builds from community members of all ages.
Each creation is made entirely of edible materials, and members of the public are invited to vote on their favourites.
Public voting is now underway and continues through December 7. Visitors can tour the exhibit and cast their votes for their favourite entries in both the adult and youth categories.
Prizes include $100 for first place in the adult category, followed by $75 and $50 for second and third. Youth entrants are competing for $75, $50 and $25 awards.
