The Isle of Man TT’s official charity partner for 2025 is honouring legends of road racing with 15 life size motorcycle sculptures, set be auctioned on Senior TT race day in 2026.

Mannin Cancers Support Group are the TT’s first-ever official charity partner and is run by a group of volunteers on the island.

In the last 13 years they have raised almost £11 million, split across both Mannin Cancers and Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, and are due to open a £2.2 million cancer support centre at Noble’s Hospital in the near future.

“We are so thrilled to be a TT partner,” Julie Stokes, Chair of both charities told MCN. “We talked to Sarah Maltby MHK (Political Member with Responsibility for Motorsport), and Sophie Lowney (TT and Motorsport Development Manager), and we said what we wanted to do, and we asked for their help.

“They came back to us and gave us a tremendous amount of help. We couldn’t have got this without them.”

Alongside the 15 historic liveries, inspired by iconic machinery ridden by the likes of John McGuinness, Peter Hickman, and Joey Dunlop, the charity has also sold 10 corporate bikes to businesses on the island so far, ranging from Bushy’s Brewery to Barclays Bank. All bikes are made of steel reinforced fibreglass, and can be sat on, with smaller sculptures also available if desired.

Sculptures are built by Welsh firm ‘See What We Can Make’ and come to the island finished in plain white before colours are applied with the help of local designer Chris Cubbon from Projex7. Company builds are priced at £6995 and will help raise vital additional funds for the new centre.

“Nothing like that exists on the Isle of Man at the moment,” Stokes continued, when asked about the new centre. “When somebody has a cancer diagnosis, it’s a worrying time for both the patient and the carers.

“They need help and there’s nothing here currently offering psycho-oncology support, so that’s what we started off to do.”

Sarah Maltby MHK, added: “As a lifelong fan of the TT, I recognise that at the heart of the TT is our local community – the volunteers, residents and supporters across the Island who, in one way or another, help make the event the global success it is.

“Appointing an Official Charity Partner each year allows us to shine a spotlight on a single charity, giving them the visibility, reach and engagement that only the TT can generate.

“I believe this new partnership approach will harness the incredible platform the TT has built and provide a unique opportunity for a local charity to raise awareness of their cause, driving real benefit back into our community in a way we’ve not yet been able to realise.”
