TIVERTON — The Four Corners Arts Center Sculpture Park is featuring an installation by visiting artist Ellen Blomgren.
The exhibit, “Habitats,” is a series of figurative sculptures of children interacting with animals, according to a community announcement. The sculptures are designed to provide places for creatures to hide, live, feed or simply enjoy a view.
Blomgren hopes to convey a sense of playful symbiosis between humans and animals.
“Visitors are encouraged to leave seeds, nuts and berries as gifts to entice our wild roommates to move in,” Blomgren said. “Please view with respect for these vulnerable creatures and their young.”
The artist reception for “Habitats” is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 on the Meeting House porch at 3850 Main Road, Tiverton, R.I. Blomgren will be available to answer questions and discuss her process and inspiration.
