The statue stands at two metres and serves as both a symbolic feature and an interactive installation. It is crafted from steel and its dramatic curves from towering humps to a high-reaching neck and head reach 2.4 metres at its peak.
With the unveiling, guests are invited to share their theories on what the monster might by tying a ribbon that reflects their viewpoint.
A yellow ribbon is for firm believers, with blue for the open-minded and orange for sceptics and over time, they will weave together to create a vibrant tapestry and a living display of the diverse theories around the Loch Ness Monster.

Since the centre’s reopening in 2023, guests have been offering a wide range of ideas about the monster with more than a quarter believing it is a prehistoric plesiosaur while 7% of visitors believe Nessie could be an alien.
Nagina Ishaq, General Manager of The Loch Ness Centre, said: “The beautiful new statue captures the wonders of the Loch Ness Monster. The sharing of stories and theories on the elusive beast is what has kept us all enamoured over the years.
“We’re also proud to continue to work with local businesses such as Inverfab through our work. The story of the monster has benefited the area so much it’s important that we continue to support one another. As guests from around the world explore the story of the elusive monster, they’ll now be able to physically mark their place in that history.”
