Japanese design firm UO has created the Nakajimaya Crossing art sculpture which is seen decorating the lobby of the Nakajimaya Grand Hotel. The historic location brings attention to the dramatic art piece which is detailed with smaller objects along with a facade design that greets visitors and celebrates four types of crafts simultaneously. It blends progressive combinations of the processes — all of which are framed within the elongated metal silhouette.

The Nakajimaya Crossing is comprised of metal frames that stack on top of one another to create a central tower as the four wall-mounted pieces are behind the front ek. The frames create a series of intersecting shapes and ‘half-moons to highlight the various crafts.
