The Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), in partnership with KUVO powered by DJ Monitor, is proud to announce the launch of a new Chart of the UK’s most played tracks, artists and labels, mapping the music that defined 2025 across more than 75 dancefloors in the UK (In venues participating in the Music Recognition Technology (MRT) initiative).

The chart delivers a transparent, data-led reflection of the tracks that defined dancefloors throughout 2025. Delivered by KUVO powered by DJ Monitor’s advanced music recognition technology and compiled from verified play data submitted by MRT-enabled venues, the initiative provides one of the most accurate insights into real-world music consumption within clubs and DJ event venue environments.
Beyond celebrating the year’s most played records, the initiative forms part of a broader commitment to strengthening the integrity of playlist reporting and ensuring a fair, sustainable ecosystem for all stakeholders across the night-time economy.
Accurate music recognition and transparent playlist data are critical to ensuring that royalties are distributed fairly, not only enabling artists, writers and creators to be properly paid for the music that is played, but also supporting venues in maintaining sustainable operating models within an increasingly complex regulatory and licensing landscape.
By improving data accuracy and transparency, this collaboration helps bridge the gap between dancefloor culture and rights management systems, ensuring that creative contribution and venue participation are both recognised and valued. However, to further enhance the accuracy and music representation, we know we need more venues to engage and participate.
NTIA endorses the KUVO powered by DJ Monitor initiative, and we encourage our venue members to participate. Visit here for further info or to get in touch: https://kuvo.com/partnership-with-djmonitor/
Michael Kill, CEO of NTIA, said:“This chart captures the authentic pulse of electronic music culture in 2025. By working with MRT venues and KUVO’s technology, we are creating a transparent and credible reflection of what is truly being played on dancefloors.
At the same time, this initiative reinforces our wider commitment to building a fair ecosystem, where venues can sustain their position at the heart of the night-time economy, and artists, writers and creators are properly rewarded for the music that drives our industry forward. Transparency and accurate playlist reporting are fundamental to that balance.”
KUVO powered by DJ Monitor continues to lead the way in providing trusted music recognition infrastructure that connects venues, DJs, rights organisations and the wider music ecosystem , strengthening accountability while preserving creative freedom.
