NISSWA — Painters, sculptors, woodworkers and many more artists will come together for Lakes Area Artists’ 28th annual Fine Art Show and Sale on Saturday, July 5.
The event will feature the work of 11 talented artists from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Journey Church, 5459 Lakers Lane in Nisswa. Admission is free, and attendees will be able to meet and talk with all of the artists and purchase artwork.
Exhibits will be located both indoors and outdoors. The event aims to uplift creativity from all around the Brainerd lakes area.
Among the featured artists are three painters: Cathye Austin, acrylic; Jerry Raedeke, watercolor; and Stephanie Mirocha, nature-inspired painting.
Two sculptors will also be featured: Rick Hammer, who works with salvaged metal; and Cyrus Raivo, who makes metal sculptures and wall art.
The show will also feature David Barthel, landscape and nature photography; Henry Dylla, handcraft pottery; Aryn and Courtney Kern, fine woodworking; Joe and Pam Manthei, fish leather accessories and art; Erling Ellison, artisan jewelry and Dan MacLaughlin, printmaking.
“We’re thrilled to be growing the show and adding new energy to this summer tradition,” said David Barthel, the show organizer, in a news release. “With a greater variety of mediums and artists than ever before, there’s something for every art lover — from fine photography and painting to metalwork, pottery, and one-of-a-kind natural materials like fish leather.”
