The Needham Market Art Exhibition, which has traditionally been held around Easter, was first launched in 1974 for fundraising purposes.
Organised by the Needham Market Community Council, the art and craft exhibition was initially intended to aid in the construction of a much-needed community centre for the town.
Opening its doors in 1980, the centre became the new home for the art exhibition, and has been held there ever since.
Over the years, the exhibition has served as a fundraiser, generating more than £300,000, contributing funds to various organisations, as well as the community centre itself.
The exhibition is lauded by artists across East Anglia and annually features over 600 pieces of art for sale.
Ranging across all mediums and styles, with artists participating from all over East Anglia, there is always something inspiring to see.
In 2026, the half-century celebration of the exhibition will take place over the Easter weekend from April 2, at 10am, until April 5 at 5pm.
Admittance for adults is £2 while children can enter for free.
