Artist Aoife Cawley returns to Six Foot Gallery with a collection of her vibrant, multi-layered screen prints and embroidered textiles. Cawley originally comes from county Kildare and works between Ireland and Scotland to create works that explore folklore, mythology and history to blend traditional medieval art forms with contemporary techniques.

If you’re drawn to contemporary art that’s full of colour, texture and flair then Alison Cowan’s solo exhibition is not to be missed. Her bright, bold and colourful paintings bring landscapes, trees and floral scenes to life with a striking intensity that is best seen in person.
Torpor

Sarah Rose’s exhibition at Tramway incorporates processes of material transformation using the basic elements of glass, heat and light. Through these mediums, the artist explores themes of power, energy, information and environmental precarity and traces the ways in which glass and light form part of our networks – from the fibre optic cables woven into our spaces to the reflective glass used to illuminate our road networks.

Caring Spaces

This exhibition celebrates the creativity and resilience of unpaid carers across the Lothians and showcases a diverse range of artworks produced through the Art in Healthcare’s Caring Spaces initiative. Carers have been offered a supportive environment to explore various artistic techniques to create a display of work that reflects their journey towards self-discovery, emotional resilience and empowerment.

Discover the work of a diverse range of photographers whose involvement in the Glasgow Photography Group between 1987 and 1989 led to the establishment of Street Level Photoworks back in September 1989. The work on show includes a range of photographic practice undertaken before, during, and after the intense lifetime of the Glasgow Photography Group – many of which are being presented in a gallery for the first time.
